Slight Update

It’s been a while, between Fallout 3, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and trying to get two ancient Silicon Graphics machines running again.

I’ve been busy.

I’ve also been trying to get a Domain registered through Microsoft’s Office Live site (I can’t for some damn reason), and figuring out which is the best place to get my photo’s printed at.

Well Fallout 3 and playing on the Wii is fun 🙂

First Mystic trip of the Year

Yesterday, Patty and I spent the Day in Mystic, CT. It’s the home of Mystic Seaport: Museum of America and the Sea and Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration, we are members of both. It’s also home to Mystic Pizza, the Mystic River Draw Bridge,  Olde Mistick Village, and Time Magazine named Mystic as #2 in their ‘Top 10 Places to Find the Most Holiday Cheer‘ (WFSB-Hartford).

Mystic Pizza is a real pizza palor that inspired a movie called, suprisingly enough, Mystic Pizza, staring Julia Roberts. And the pizzia is really good too. Other movies, including the Amistad, were filmed in Mystic. The Amistad II was built at Mystic Seaport. We were there when it just a keel and a couple of ribs, we even have some of the wood shavings put away. In 2008 it completed a 14000 mile journey in which it sailed to Europe, down to Africa, across to South America, and back up to Mystic, Connecticut.

As you can see, its’ a pretty neat place to visit, and because its right on our bus route, it’s not too hard to make simple day trips. Some photos follow:
